Kent August
Kent grew up in Bristal, Louisiana in a small community where he started playing guitar at the age of 9, as he grew into his teenage years, he started playing with local R&B and Top 40 cover bands. He stepped up his talents to the next level as he starts to accompany local Legends like Buckwheat, Rockin' Sydney, Terrence Simien, Rosie Ledet, Keith Frank, Gino Delafonse, Zydeco Force and Beau Jocque, just to name a few. He has toured throughout the continental U.S., Western Europe & Canada opening up for artists such as Bobby "Blue" Bland, Betty Wright and Marvin Sease. As a versatile guitarist, Kent August also has a deep Love for Jazz and has recorded his own jazz arrangements titled "Jazz at Sunset" and has a new release with August Heat titled "Closer" feat: vocals from the talented Cookie Salton
Ronny Sonnier
The musical heat can only sustain if the blaze stays lit and that's where the smooth, nimble fingers of bassist Ronny Sonnier comes in. He has worked with numerus R&B, Top 40 and Jazz groups during his musical career. A virtuoso in his own right, Ronny is also fluent in Blues, Funk, Rock & Roll and Country music. He is an original corner stone of The August Heat Band.
Eltonez "Cookie" Salton
The beautiful Eltonez is the lead vocalist of The August Heat Band. Her voice range is as versatile as they come, starting her musical journey as a child in the church, where she and her family were members. From there, she's elevated her vocal chops to R&B and Jazz genres. Her genius can be herd on the project "Closer", which she co-wrote.
